2026/27 Seasonal Year Age Grouping Transition

This new system starts on August 1st 2026.

In March 2025, US Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer, and AYSO collectively aligned the age calculation dates for player age groups. The coordinated age calculation dates are August 1 to July 31, starting with the 2026-2027 season/registration year. This change was made based on additional critical feedback, data, and input to support continued youth participation by allowing players to compete with their classmates.
